In my own words

“I’m Rita, a Bédik woman from Kédougou, Senegal…”

I’m a country girl, and I’m taking you with me to discover city life — its beauty, its culture, its stories, its food, its people and its everyday rhythm.

You will meet extraordinary people, hear stories you have never heard, see places you may never have seen, and live those unexpected moments that make every journey special.

I am here to show you that beautiful stories can begin anywhere — even in the smallest village or the smallest town.

Explore Africa

It starts at home. It goes further.

Kédougou first, then Senegal, then West Africa and beyond — one honest step at a time. These are the roads the stories will follow.

Illustrations are placeholders until Rita’s own photographs are published.

Meet the people

Everyday people have extraordinary stories.

The woman who wakes before dawn to cook. The young man building a business from a phone. The elder who remembers. I sit down with them, I listen, and I let them speak.

  • The market seller

  • The young entrepreneur

  • The keeper of memories

Some stories are only told once, if you listen.

Beautiful stories can begin anywhere — even in the smallest village.

The things that don’t fit in a video: what happened behind the camera, the people I met, the questions you asked me — once a week or every two weeks, never more.
